W ARM UP The first 2 to 5 minutes of a workout should be devoted to w arming up. The w arm-up will limber your muscles and prepare them for more strenuous ex ercise.
STRETCH FIRST Before using y our Horizon Fitness product, it is best to take a fe w minutes doing a few g entle stretc h- ing ex ercises. Stretc hing prior to ex ercise will improve fle xibility and reduce c hances of ex ercise related injury . Ease into eac h of these stretches with a slow g entle motion.
MO VING Y our Horizon Fitness upright bike has a pair of transport wheels built into the front of the frame. Standing in front of the upright bike bracing one f oot against the fr ont wheel tube , grab the handle bars and carefully pull the bike to wards y ou.
KNOW YOUR UPRIGHT BIKE WHA T KIND OF ROUTINE MAINTENANCE IS REQUIRED? W e use sealed bearings throughout our bik es so lubrication is not needed. The most impor tant main- tenance step is to simply wipe your perspir ation off the bike after eac h use.
QUICK ST ART UP Simply begin ex ercising. The console will automatically begin counting up and tracking your inf or- mation. RESET Press and hold the reset button on the console.
ARE THE SOUNDS MY UPRIGHT BIKE MAKES NORMAL? Our upright bikes are some of the quietest available because the y use belt drives and friction free magnetic resistance.
PROBLEM: Erratic or Inconsistent R eadout. (3.0B only) SOLUTION: This is often caused b y dry electrodes or a loose c hest strap . Moisture on the r ubber electrodes is required f or proper oper ation. T ry a more generous coating of water on the electr odes and tightening the c hest strap .
KNOW YOUR UPRIGHT BIKE Y our Horizon Fitness upright bike is designed to be reliable and maintenance free . How ever , if you do experience pr oblems with your upright bike , please reference the troubleshooting guide listed below . PROBLEM: There is no displa y on the console.
QUICK ST ART UP Simply press the 'Start" button to begin exercising . The program will automatically default to the Manual program unless another pr ogram is selected.
