19 68-0173—3 3. Remove the PC8900A from the wiring wallplate by pull- ing the PC8900A straight off the wallplate. 4. Position the PC8900A Wiring Plate on the wall. 5. Level the wiring plate (for appearance only) using the posts on top of the wiring plate; device functions prop- erly even when not level.
68-0173—3 20 CAUTION Disconnect the power supply befo re connecting wiring to prevent electrical shock or equ ipment damage. All wiring must comply with all applicable electrical codes, ordinances and regulations. 1. Loosen the PC8900A terminal screws and insert one wire beneath each terminal (1, 2, 3, 4).

23 68-0173—3 — Mount it high enough to prevent tampering or coverage by snow , ice or debris. • The wire distance between the C7089A and W8900A-C should not exceed 200 ft. Mounting 1. Remove the sensor from the mou nting clip. 2. Mark the area on the surf ace whe re the C7089A mount- ing clip will be mounted.
68-0173—3 24 CAUTION Disconnect power supply befor e connecting the wiring to prevent electrical shock or equ ipment damage. Wiring must comply with applicable codes, ordinan ces and regulations. 1. Wire the C7089A Outdoor Sensor to the terminals marked OUT on the W8900A-C Remote Module.

35 68-0173—3 Adaptive Intelligent Recovery™ Operation Adaptive Intelligent Reco very™ operation is Honeywell’s trademark for the wa y the Comfort Center™ system controls the heating and cooling equip ment during recovery from an energy savings setting (SLEEP , LEA VE) to a comfort setting (W AKE, RETURN).
68-0173—3 36 Heat Pump Recovery In Mild Weather When outdoor temperature is mild; for example 50°F (10°C), the recovery from energy savings is handled completely by the heat pump, without the need fo r auxi liary heat.
