Breathing it can cause unconsciousness and even kill you. Never use the remote engine starter with the vehicle parked in a garage or other areas with limited ventilation.
6 7336010T Battery Po wer Use the transmitter only when necessary . Every time a button is pressed, the remote engine starter is consuming batter y power . If the battery is low on power, the transmitting range of the remote engine starter will be affected.

11 Remote Engine Star ter System The remote engine star ter will only operate pro vided all the follo wing conditions are met: • The gearshift lev er is in the “P” (P ar k) position. • The brake pedal is not depressed. • The engine hood is securely closed.
12 6410100B 5419040K Before Lea ving Y our V ehicle 1. Mov e the gearshift lev er to the “P” position. 5419032K 2. T ur n the ignition s witch to the LOCK (0) position, and remov e the ke yless entry-integrated key or ignition ke y from the ignition switch.
13 Starting the Engine 10-minute mode 1. Push the command button on the transmitter f or 1 second or less, then push in the start button within 2 seconds.
14 5718100S NO TE • If the engine does not start after pressing the command button f ollowed b y the start button, the tr ansmitter will emit two short beeps to indicate the signal has been sent. It will then emit a long buzz er sound and the engine- off indicator is shown in the display to indicate the engine star t was not successful.
15 6410140B Starting the Engine 6410130B NO TE T he normal operating range of the transmitter is approx. 200 ft (61 m). Howev er , this distance can be affected b y the follo wing conditions. Depending on where you park, you ma y experience reduced range reception.
16 5718100S Stopping the Engine 1. Push the command button on the transmitter f or 1 second or less, then push the stop b utton within 2 seconds. 2. The transmitter emits a short beep and sends a signal to stop the engine. When the engine stops, the OFF indicator is shown on the display .
17 T o Stop the Engine Automaticall y The engine automatically stops when the follo wing conditions are met: • 10 or 20 minutes has passed after starting the engine. • The doors are unlock ed (depends on the model). • A door is opened. • The brake pedal is depressed.
18 7302080T Checking V ehicle Condition Y ou can check the v ehicle condition on the transmitter display b y performing the follo wing operation: Push the command button twice times on the transmitter for 1 second or less. NOTE: This function does not work when the ignition switch is in the ON (II) position.

20 Optional Items ADDITIONAL TRANSMITTER Any additional transmitters need to be progr ammed to the ID code in the main unit. Have your Honda dealer reprogram them.
21 A utomatic Defrost Function For v ehicles equipped with automatic climate control, the f eature functions under the follo wing conditions. The automatic defrost function is activated from the f actory and is operational apon installation of the remote engine star ter system.

25 Other Changes of V ehicle Function For v ehicles equipped with the automatic lighting off f eature, when the door is opened with the k ey during starting the engine with the remote engine star ter system, the headlight will not come on. (When the engine is stopped using the automatic lighting off feature .
26 5412151K T ransmitter Battery Replacement 1. Release the battery cover lock. 2. Remov e the battery cover . 3. Remov e the old batteries. 4. Install two ne w lithium batteries (CR2032) into the transmitter with the positiv e (+) mark toward the battery cover .
27 T ransmitter Battery Replacement W arning on discharged battery An indicator will appear on the display when the battery is close to the end of its service life. Replace the batteries as soon as possible. (Nor mally , battery ser vice life is not sho wn on the display .
28 T roubleshooting NOTE: The following symptoms do not necessarily indicate the accessory malfunction. Before having your Honda dealer repair the accessory , confir m that the ignition ke y can start your engine. If the engine does not star t, have the dealer check and troubleshoot y our vehicle bef ore repair ing the accessory .
29 T roubleshooting Symptom Engine does not star t with the transmitter . Probable cause The star t b utton is not pressed within 2 seconds of pressing the command button. Remedy Push the star t button within 2 seconds after pushing the command button.
