18 ENGLISH COMPONENT NAMES (continued) R emote Control In addition to controlling all of the functions on your Hitachi UT LCD Monitor and A/V Center , the new remote control is designed to operate different types of devices, such as, DVD players, Cable Boxes, Set-T op-Boxes, Satellite Receivers, VCR's, PVR's and A VR's.
19 Caution W hen Mo ving the Main Unit Whenever the unit is moved, two people are required to transport it safely . Whenever the unit is moved, it should be lifted forwards by holding the top and base on both sides of the unit for stability . 20 ENGLISH CONNECTION The unit is suitable for various kinds of connections. Make a connection in the following steps. Be sure to turn off the main power rst when connecting external equipment. NOT E Do not connect the power plug to the wall socket until all other connections are completed.

24 ENGLISH BASIC OPERA TION P ow er On/Of f T urn On the power of the unit. T o tur n On the po wer to the unit: 1. Press the Main Power switch on the unit. The Indicating Lamp illuminates in Green on Monitor/Blue on A/V Center , and the Illumination Lamp turns Blue.

The V olume Indicator value on the screen will shift to the right. 2. T o d ecrease the sound volume, press the V olume D own button on the remote control or control panel.
