English 27 HANDLING DISCS ● Using discs Discs are very delicate r ecording media. Carefully r ead the following cautions and observe them: • Always use a brand new disc when recor ding important material. • Be sure not to touch the r ecording surface of disc, or dirty or scratch it.

Setting Up the DVD Video Camera/Recor der HOLDING D VD VIDEO CAMERA/RECORDER Insert your right hand fr om th e bottom of DVD video camera/recor der up to the base of your thumb.
English 33 A TT ACHING SHOULDER STRAP A TT ACHING LENS CAP 1 Attach the shorter end of lens cap string to the lens cap. 2 Attach the longer end of lens cap string to the attachment hole of DVD video camera/ rec orde r . 3 Push the both sides of cap inward and attach it over the lens.
English 34 INSERTING B A TTER Y INT O REMO TE CONTR OL Insert the provided lithium battery into r emote control. 1 While inserting a fine rod into the hole marked PUSH, pull the battery holder out forward. 2 Insert the lithium battery with the positive R terminal facing down.

English 38 SETTING D A TE AND TIME Set the current date and time so that the date and time you mak e a recording can be recorded correctly . The fo llowing procedure can also be used to co rrect the date and time you ha ve already set. 1 T urn the DVD video camera/recorder on.

English 44 USING D VD VIDEO CAMERA/RECORDER WITH A C AD APTER/CHARGER It is recommended that you use the AC adapter/ char ger to power the DVD video camera/recor der from household AC outlet when yo u perform settings on it, play ba ck or edit images, or use it indoors.
English 45 T ur ning DVD Video Camera/Recor der On and Off While holding down the gray button at the right of power switch, set the switch according to each recor ding function: P ower ON status During playback, set the power switch to “ O ” or “ N ” when using disc, or set it to “ P ” when using card.
English 46 Inser ting and Removing Disc INSERTING DISC 1 Press down the DISC EJECT button once and release it. A few moments after the ACCESS/PC indicator blinks, the cover of disc insertion block will open. 2 Gently open the cover by hand fully until it stops.
