HOW T O SET UP YOUR NEW HIT ACHI LCD REAR PTV 5 ANTENNA Unless your LCD Rear PTV is connected to a cable TV system or to a centralized antenna system, a good outdoor TV antenna is recommended for best performance.
HOOK-UP CABLES AND CONNECT ORS 6 ANTENNA CONNECTIONS TO REAR JACK P ANEL VHF (75-Ohm) antenna/CA TV (Cable TV) When using a 75-Ohm coaxial cable system, connect the outdoor antenna or CA TV coaxial cable to the ANT A (75-Ohm) terminal. If you have a second antenna or cable TV system, connect the coaxial cable to the ANT B terminal.

20 CONNECTING A V NETWORK Y our Hitachi LCD TV is equipped with an A V Network feature. This feature helps to control your external Audio/Video equipment (VCR, Set T op Box, DVD, etc.). Once this is setup, it allows your IR Mouse connector to control your equipment using your Hitachi TV Remote Control.
21 A V NETWORK SETUP WIZARD There are six steps in the setup procedure (DVD setup example below). 5. Follow the steps below to setup your A V network (See page 22 for A V Network Codes). 6. Enter “9999” to uninstall the equipment from your A V Network.

31 ASPECT button Press this button to quickly change the picture format ASPECT ratio. Depending on the input signal, the picture format ratio allows you to adjust the images through the following options. 4:3 Standard Use this aspect mode to display conventional (4:3) images.

35 PICTURE-IN-PICTURE (PIP) SPLIT MODE PICTURE-IN-PICTURE Split Mode PIP displays the main picture and sub-picture evenly on the screen. SW AP button (with PIP ON) Press this button to toggle between the Main and Sub picture which is highlighted with a green border around the picture.

ASPECT MODE 52 Aspect Mode Auto Aspect Automatically adjust the Aspect Ratio depending on the input signal to fill the screen. Press THUMB STICK , , to select menu item. Press down on THUMBSTICK to select. A “ ” in the box indicates that the feature is ON.

CHANNEL MANAGER 54 This feature will automatically store active TV channels in Auto Channel Scan. This will allow you to skip unused channels when using CHANNEL UP ( ) or DOWN ( ). If the EXIT button is pressed while Auto Channel Scan function is engaged, programming will stop.

LOCKS 57 This function will block out the picture and sound of the selected channel or video input. It can also be used to keep the TV from being viewed for a scheduled time period that you set. The code to enter the Locks feature is a four digit secret code number .

69 LAMP REPLACEMENT Lamp Replacement After extended use, if the TV picture turns dark, the color looks unusual or LAMP INDICA TOR light turns on, then it is time to replace the lamp with a new lamp. Lamp Life The lamp life may vary based on usage of the LCD Rear PTV .
