2 T ranspor t 2.1 T ranspor ting the unit L H B NO TICE The units are deliv ered on pallets in cardboard casing. P acked in this wa y , the units cannot be stack ed and are not protected from moisture. P ac ked units can be transpor ted lengthwa ys or cross wa ys with a pallet truck.
3 Installation 3.1 Installation inf ormation Before installing NO TICE Examine the unit f or transpor tation damage. Do not install or use damaged units. Remov e the protectiv e film from the external panels bef ore using for the first time. Remov e f oam transpor t protection from the chamber .
Air intake and blo w out vents NO TICE Units in the SpaceSav er and SpaceSa ver PLUS v ersions are not suitab le f or installation within a closed housing! The air intake and b low out v ents are situated at the rear of the unit. 1 2 Make sure that e xtr acted air from the blow-out v ent (2) is not dra wn into the intake v ent (1).

3.3 Installing tabletop units NO TICE A warning notice must be mounted on the door of the cooking chamber if tabletop units are installed in such a w a y that the upper slide-in rails e xceed a height of 1.60 m (5.3 ft.). The label warns about the danger of scalding that exists when the contents of a container being pulled out cannot be seen.
3. With a f orklift, place the top unit on the provided pins ov er the other unit. NO TICE Suppor t the unit to prev ent it from tipping. 4. Remov e the bac k panel of the top unit. 5. Connect the pow er cable (see Chapter “Connecting the pow er supply”, P age 23 ).
4 Electricity 4.1 Cable requirements The unit is deliv ered as standard without a connection cable. A H07RN-F cable complying with EN standards or , respectively , with the locally applying provisions , must be used f or connecting the unit. 4.2 Description of the terminal strip A1/X5.

4.3.1 Three-phase power connection The unit is deliv ered without a power cab le and with a three-phase ter minal connection. 1. Prepare the connection cable (cab le type H07RN-F compliant with EN-Nor m). 2. Remov e the bac k panel. 3. P ass the connection cable through the str ain relief screws into the unit.
AB If the unit is to be connected to the mains as a single-phase appliance, the contactor ter minal connections and those of the electronic rela y must be changed. The contactor's ter minal blocks are located under the cov er on the left at the back (A).
9. Connect the pow er cable to the terminals. 10. Remount the back panel. 4.4 RS485/RS422 interface Units in the SpaceSav er and SpaceSa ver PLUS v ersions are equipped with a f our-pin RS485 interface as standard. The interf ace can be reduced to a two-pin RS422 interf ace.

5 W ater 5.1 W ater supply The unit is equipped with two w ater connections: ● a soft water connection f or producing steam ● a hard water connection f or cooling waste w ater , for operating the .
7. When preparing the hoses, calculate the length to allow 0.8 m to be pulled out from the unit after connection, f or later ser vicing. 8. Rinse out customer-supplied hoses f or the hard and soft water connections. 9. Make sure that the filters fitted as standard to the unit's w ater inlets are present.
W ater har dness Scale deposits may f orm if the total water hardness or carbonate hardness e xceeds 5 °dH (0.89 mmol/l). For v alues smaller than this, the scale f or mation is correspondingly less. A total water hardness or carbonate hardness of 1 °dH is ideal.

Check that both sealing rings (1) are lying flat in the threaded connectors (2). 2. Screw the threaded connectors (2) e v enly onto the hard and soft water connections and tighten securely .
CA UTION Damage to the unit caused by water → Check that the metal rings are positioned correctly . 3. Check that both metals rings (3) are lying on the respectiv e plastic sprock et in the threaded connector (2). If not, open the threaded connector (2) and repeat the process.
