The network camera is not only a high performance web-equippe d camera, but also a flexible surveillance system. Therefore, please ensure that the operation of such devices is le gal in your area before installing this unit for surveillance. (Please note that in some instances, surveillance devices ma y be prohibited by law in y our country.

Hardware Installation Please verify that your product package contains all the accessories listed in the foregoing Package Contents. Depending on the user’s application, an Ethernet cable may be needed. The Ethernet cable should meet the specs of UTP Category 5 and no t exceed 100 meters in length.
Software Installation In this manual, "User" refers to anyone who has access to the network camera, and "Adm inistr ator" refers to anyone who has access rights to configure the network camera and grant user access to it.
After completing the search, the main IP Setup window will app ear. The IP Setup program should have returned an IP address for your network camera (under the “Current IP Address” heading) that is consistent with your existing LAN settings. The IP address will likely have been found by the DHCP server.
If the IP address is not already being used by another devi ce on the network, IP Setup will continue with the setup. Otherwise, another message window will appear, warning that the assigned IP conflicts. Authentication After opening the Web browser and typing in the networ k camera’s IP address, a dialogue window may appear, requesting a username and password, unless the administrator has not saved a password . Upon successful authentication, the device’s main page will be displayed.
Installing the Plug-in In W indows, during the initial access to the network camera, the web browser may prompt you for permission to install a new plug-in for the network camera. Whether or not you are prompted to install the plug-in will depend on the Internet security settings of your PC or notebook.

Camera Control On the Camera Control page, there are two main function control areas: Camera contr ol ar ea The pan and tilt functions can be controlled with these buttons . The “Left”, “Right”, “Up”, and “Down” buttons aim the camera accordingly.
UPnP and DDNS Settings Enable DDNS : This option turns on the DDNS function. Provider : The provider list contains four hosts that provide DDNS services. Factory default “Factory default” Click on this link on the configuration page to restore factory default settings. Any changes made so far will be lost and the system will be reset to the initial factory settings.

D. How to View Your Camera via the Internet The steps outlined below will help you install your camera behind a router: 1. Camera Identification Open the camera’s web page by typing its IP address in your web browser, and click on “System”.
