Installation 10 312667K Installation Grounding and Electric Requirements Sprayer must be grounded. Gr ounding reduces the risk of static and electric sho ck by providing an escape wire for electrical current due to static build up or in the event of a short circuit.
Operation 312667K 11 Operation See Operation manua l 312001 for basic information on sprayer set-up, flushin g, and storage. Trigger Lock Always engage the trigge r lock when you stop spraying to prevent the gun from being triggered accidentally by hand or if dropped or bum ped.

Basic Troubleshoo ting 312667K 13 Basic Troubleshooting Check everything in this Basic T roubleshooting t able befor e you bring the sprayer to a Graco/M AGNUM authorized service center . Problem Cause So lution Power switch is on and sprayer is plugged in, but mo tor does not run, and pump does not cycle.
Basic Troubleshooting 14 312667K Pump does no t prime. Prime/S pray V alv e is in SPRA Y posi- tion. T urn Prime/S pray V alve to PRIME position (pointing down ). Inlet screen is clogged or suctio n tube is not immersed. Clean debris off inlet screen and make sure suction tube is immersed in fluid.
Basic Troubleshoo ting 312667K 15 Pump cycles but does not build up pressure. Prime/S pray valve in PRIME posit ion (pointing down). T urn Prime/S pray valve to SPRA Y position (pointin g forward). Pump is not primed. Prime pump, see Operation manual 312001.
Basic Troubleshooting 16 312667K Pressure is set at maximum but cannot achieve a good spra y pattern. S pray tip is clogged. Unclog spray tip, see Operation manual 312001. Reversible spray tip is in UNCLOG position. Rotate ar row-shaped handl e on spray tip so it point s forward on gun.
