8 Oven T emperature Control IMPORT AN T : Do not use a thermometer to measur e oven temperature becau se opening th e oven do or and element or burn er cycling may giv e incorrect readings.
9 BAKEWARE T o cook food e venly , hot air must be able to cir culat e. Allow 2 in. (5 cm) of space a round bakeware and oven walls. Use t he following chart as a guid e. Bakeware The bakeware mat erial affects cooking r esults. Follow manufacturer’ s recommendations and use the bakew are size recommended in the recipe.
10 Sabbath Mode The Sabbath M ode sets the oven t o remain on in a bake set ting until tur ned off. A time d Sabba th Mo de can also be set t o kee p the oven on for only part of the Sabbath. When the Sab bath Mode i s set, t he number pa ds are active.
11 T empera tur e Change The oven temperat ure can be changed when th e oven(s) are in the Sa bbath M ode. No tones will soun d an d the d isplay wi ll not change. The heatin g elements wi ll not tur n on or off for a random time, anyw here from 16 to 24 secon ds, a fter S T ART is presse d.
12 Maxi a nd Econo Broiling Broiling uses dir ect radiant heat to cook food. During maxi broiling, both the i nner and ou ter broil elemen ts heat . During econo broilin g, only the i nner broil element h eats. The element( s) cycle on and off in intervals to main tain th e oven temperature.
13 Convection Cooking (on some models) In a convectio n oven, the fan-c irculated hot air contin ually distributes heat mor e evenly t han the natural movement of air in a stan dard the rma l ov en.
14 T o Convection R oast: Before convection roasting, posi tion racks acc ording to the “Positioni ng Racks and B akeware” section. It is not ne cessary to wait for the ov en to pr eheat be fore p utting food in, unle ss recommended in the recipe.
15 Convection Broil (on some models) During convect ion broiling, the broil elements will cycl e on and off in interv als to maint ain oven t emperature, w hile the fa n cons tantly circulates the ho t air . The temperature is preset at 450°F (232° C), but ca n be changed to a different temperature.
16 To S e t C y c l e : Before setting a cycl e, start w ith the meat or main dish temperature and cook time. Choos e baked goods with an oven temperature s imilar to those of th e meat or main dish. T empera ture s ranging fr om plus or minus 25 t o 50 degr ees and cook times ranging fr om plus or minus 10 to 15 minutes ar e acceptabl e.

18 T emperature Probe (single and upper ovens only) The temperature probe accurate ly measures the inter nal temperature of meat, pou ltry and ca sseroles with l iquid and should be u sed in dete rmining t he donene ss of meat and pou ltry . It should not be used during maxi and econo broi ling, convection broiling, d ehydrating or proofing br ead.
19 T imed C ooking Timed Cooking allows the oven(s) to be set to tur n on at a certain time of day , cook for a se t length of time, and/or shut of f automatical ly . D elay start should not b e used for food such as breads and cakes bec ause they may not bake properl y .

E xposure to the fume s may result in de ath to cert ain bi rds. Always m ove birds to another closed an d well ventila ted room.
