10 Cha rging the Batter y The bat tery is not c har ged at sh ipmen t. Charge the ba t tery before use . 1 Place the battery in the supplied b atter y charger . Insert the batter y in the orienta tion indicat - ed by the DFC labels. The c amera uses an NP-50 recharge able bat ter y .

After cha rging the battery , insert the battery and memor y card as described below .
