8 First Steps Inser ting the Battery and a Memor y Card 2 I nsert the batter y . Align the orange stripe on the battery with the orange battery latch and slide the bat- tery into the camera, k eeping the battery latch pressed to one side . Con rm that the battery is securely latched.
9 First Steps Inser ting the Battery and a Memor y Card 3 I nsert the memor y card. Holding the memor y card in the orientation shown at right, slide it in until it clicks into place at the back of the slot. Q Be sur e card is in the correct orientation; do not insert at an angle or use force.

P lease note that the repair er will be able to view pictures in internal memory. • F ormatting a memory card or internal memor y in the camera creates a folder in which pictures are stor ed.
14 First Steps Charging the Battery Charging the Battery The battery is not charged at shipment. Charge the batter y before use . The camera charges the battery internally. T urn the camera o and connect the camera to the supplied AC power adapt er using the supplied USB cable.

Note that depending on the printer , not all the functions described below may be supported.

57 Connections Printing Pictures via USB Printing the DPOF Print Order Printing the DPOF Print Order The K PRINT ORDER (DPOF) option in the playback menu can be used to create a digital “print order” for P ictBridge -compatible pr inters ( P 90) or de - vices that suppor t DPOF .
