8 First Steps Inser ting the Battery and a Memor y Card 2 I nsert the batter y . Align the orange stripe on the battery with the orange battery latch and slide the battery into the camera, k eeping the battery latch pressed to one side . Confirm that the battery is securely latched.
9 First Steps Inser ting the Battery and a Memor y Card 3 I nsert the memor y card. Holding the memor y card in the orientation shown at right, slide it in until it clicks into place at the back of the slot. Q Be sure card is in the correct orientation; do not insert at an angle or use force.

63 Connections Printing P ictures via USB Printing P ictures via USB If the printer suppor ts PictBridge, the camera can be connected directly to the printer as shown below and pictures can be printed without first being copied to a computer . Note that depending on the printer , not all the functions descr ibed below may be supported.
64 Connections Printing Pictures via USB 6 Pr ess MENU/OK to start pr inting. P rinting can be interrupted by pressing DISP/BACK , but note that some printers ma y not respond immediately . If the printer stops befor e pr inting is complete, turn the camera off and then on again.
65 Connections Printing Pictures via USB Printing the DPOF Print Order Printing the DPOF Print Order The K PRINT ORDER (DPOF) option in the playback menu can be used to create a dig ital “ pr int order” for P ic tBridge -compatible printers ( P 98) or devices that suppor t DPOF .
