7 First Steps First Steps Charging the Battery Charging the Battery The battery is not charged at shipment. Charge the batter y before use . 1 Attach the plug adapter . Attach the plug adapter as shown, making sure that it is fully inserted and clicks into place on the charger terminals.

63 Connections Printing P ictures via USB Printing P ictures via USB If the printer suppor ts PictBridge, the camera can be connected directly to the printer as shown below and pictures can be printed without rst being copied to a computer . Note that depending on the printer , not all the functions described below may be supported.
64 Connections Printing Pictures via USB 6 Pr ess MENU/OK to star t printing. Printing can be interrupted by pr essing DISP/BACK , but note that some printers ma y not respond immediately . I f the printer stops befor e printing is complete, turn the camera o and then on again.
65 Connections Printing Pictures via USB Printing the DPOF Print Order Printing the DPOF Print Order The K PRINT ORDER (DPOF) option in the playback menu can be used to create a digital “print order” for P ictBridge -compatible pr inters ( P 99) or de - vices that suppor t DPOF .

Q If a memor y card containing a large number of images is inserted, there may be a delay befor e the software star ts and you may be unable to import or save images.
