7 ABOUT CHILDREN AND THE MICROWAVE Children below the age of 7 should use the microwave o ven with a supervising person very near to them. Between the ages of 7 and 12, the supervising person should be in the same room. As with any appliance, close supervision by an adult is necessary when used by children.

11 MANUAL COOKING • Suppos e you wa nt to defrost for 5 minutes at 30%. Step Pres s 1 . Enter defrosting time. 0 0 5 2. Press the power level pad eight times to enter a power level of 30% .
12 SENSOR COOKING Sensor cook ing has an electronic controlled sensor that detec ts the vapor ( moist ure and hum idity ) emit ted from the food as it heats. The s ensor adjusts the c ooking times and power level for various foods and quantities automatically .
