9 Battery Charging • Locate the batter y compartment in the front end of the v ehicle body . • Slide the batter y clamp open .. • While holding the batter y clamp open, remo ve the batter y from the battery compar tment .. • Release the batter y clamp .
10 Assembl y • Place a .437 cap nut on a flat surf ace, inside up , a s s h o w n . Hint: Y ou ma y want to place a scr ap bloc k of wood under neath the cap n ut to protect the assembly surf ace. • Fit the rear axle into the cap nut. •T ap the opposite end of the rear axle with a hammer to secure the cap nut in the rear axle.
11 Assembl y • Fit shor t end of the front axles up through the holes in the underside of the steering linkage. Make sure the long end of each front axle fits into the groov e on each end of the steering linkage. •F it the other driver onto the end of the rear axle.
• While holding the front axle/steering linkage assembly in place, fit a long b ushing onto the end of each front axle. • Push each long bushing so that it fits completely into the v ehicle body . Long Bushings Assembly T ool 12 Assembl y • Fit the assembly tool onto the cap n ut.
•T ur n the v ehicle assembly upright. •F it the two tabs on the front of the seat into the two slots in the vehicle body . 13 13 Assembl y •I nser t a #10 x 1" scre w through the back of the seat and into the vehicle body . Tighten the screw .
14 Assembl y • Place the dashboard on the top side of the vehicle body , as shown. •I nser t fiv e #10 x 1" screws through the dashboard and into the vehicle body . Tighten the screws . 16 Dashboard Bend Upright Steering Column Steering Wheel Large Opening •P osition the steering wheel with the large opening upright .
•I nser t a hood latch into each slot in the front end of the v ehicle body . •T ur n each hood latch a 1 / 4 tur n to secure in place. Pull up on the hood latches to be sure they are secure . Hood Latches Slots •I nser t the steering column (with steering wheel) into the large hole in the dashboard.
16 • Fit the spacers between the top of the brush guard and the front end of the vehicle . •I nser t two #8 x 4" scre ws through the two upper holes in the brush guard, through the spacers and into the front end of the vehicle . • Tighten the screws .
17 Label Decoration G Proper label application will help to keep the labels looking their best! When applying labels, keep the following guidelines in mind: •W ash y our hands before applying the labels . • Bef ore applying the labels, wipe the surf ace of the vehicle with a clean, dry cloth to remov e any dust or oils.

19 IMPORT ANT! Use only a P ower Wheels ® 6 volt battery with A-style connector and built-in thermal fuse. Use of any other battery will damage your v ehicle. 20 If a battery leak develops, av oid contact with the leaking acid and place the damaged batter y in a plastic bag. See inf or mation below f or proper disposal. If acid comes in contact with skin or eyes, flush with cool water f or at least 15 minutes and call a ph ysician.
