Operation the obstr uction from the mo wer , discharge tube, chute , and the hood. 4. After y ou remo ve the obstruction, install the complete bag ger system and resume operation. Removing the Bagger DANGER An unco vered discharge opening will allow objects to be thrown in operator’s or bystander’s direction.
Operation Note: On the 42 and 52 inch decks , the disc harge bafe does not ha ve to be remov ed from the deck; you may notice better discharge with it installed. If remo v ed, replace the original hardw are in the deck holes . Replacing the Discharge Deector 1.
Operation W ARNING The front w eight installed without the bagger may cause loss of traction and steering control or an unsta ble condition which could result in injur y or death. Install the front w eight only when the bagger is installed. Note: T he remov able weight is heavy .
Operation want to slightly reduce the throttle speed and increase the ground speed of the mow er . The bag ging system may plug if y ou dri ve too fast and the engine speed gets too slow . On hills it ma y be necessary to slo w the mow er ground speed.
Operation W ARNING Loading a unit on a trailer or truck increases the possibility of backw ard tip-ov er . Backw ard tip-o ver could cause serious injur y or death. • Use extreme caution when operating a unit on a ramp. • Use only a single, full width ramp; Do Not use indi vidual ramps for each side of the unit.
Maintenance Maintenance Note: Deter mine the left and right sides of the machine from the normal operating position. W ARNING While maintenance or adjustments are being made, someone could star t the engine. Accidental star ting of the engine could seriously injure y ou or other bystanders.
Maintenance Inspecting the Mower Blades Service Interval: As required R efer to y our mo wer Operator’ s Manual for complete blade maintenance. Caring for the Grass Bags Service Interval: As required W ashing the grass bags is not recommended. Under nor mal use the bags will deteriorate and wear .
Storage Storage Storing the Bagger Attachment 1. Clean the bag ger attachment; refer to Cleaning the Bagger Attachment in Maintenance. 2. Inspect the bagg er attac hment for damage; refer to Inspecting the Ba gger Attachment in Maintenance. 3. Make sure the grass bags are empty and thoroughly dry .
T roubleshooting T roubleshooting Important: It is essential that all operator safety mechanisms be connected and in proper operating condition prior to mow er use. When a problem occurs , do not ov erlook the simple causes . F or example: starting problems could be caused by an empty fuel tank.
