It can be controlled with a mouse, the front panel, an EKB5 00, and the handheld IR remote control. This chapter will cov er the basic operation using the mouse and the front panel button s.
16 2. 1.3 O pe r at ion i n th e C o nf i g ur a t i on M e nu s Click on the icon to access the Configuration Menu. The Configu ration menu screens (shown in Figure 2-2 OSD Menu) are divided into 3 main sections . Figure 2- 2 OSD Menu 1. In section 1 , there are ten setup options available.

The playback bar allows a user to see both a time line and the current p layback indicator. The user can then click the time line to move the indicator to the po sition which they want to see.

40 Date: Sets the current date of DVR. Time: Set s the current time of DVR. Record Mode: Cho ose from Normal+Event : Normal recording plus event recording . Event Only: Event recording only. Schedule Re c: Schedule recording. For Event reco rding, enter the estimated number of hours per d ay for event recording.
41 Network Type : Static IP: Use r sets a static IP for network connection. DHCP: DHCP server in LAN will automatically assign IP fo r network connection. PPPoE: This is for direct DSL connection application O NLY (no router). Check with your ISP to see if they use PPPoE.

47 Network Alarm: Check this bo x to send o ut a network alarm to a client PC when motion occurs. (Th is feature requires PowerCon software on t he client PC and proper settings for the Alarm Server in the Network Setup menu; see Section 4.6.4 Alarm Server for more information.

66 4 . 6 S C H E D U LE S ET T I NG Figure 4 - 20 is a scree nshot of the SCHEDULE SET TING MENU . In this menu you can set a unique configuration to enable recording d uring a specified time period s. This menu is used to config ure Express Setup, Holidays and detailed Schedule settings.

69 To Set Schedule using Mouse 1. Click on desire d start time block (no numbers on it) on a time b ar. At this t ime, the selected t ime block will b e h ighlighted in b lue frame and the entire time bar will be h ighlighted by red frame. The re are 24 blocks on the t ime bar representing 24 hours respect ively.
