Fixed Wireless Terminal: G32 & G36 9 Installation SIM Card Your network oper ator provides you with a SIM (Subscriber Id entity Module) card. Th e SIM card contai ns informatio n about your t elephon e number and the services included in your s ubscription.
10 Fixed Wireless Terminal: G32 & G36 2. Remove the front cover, by pr essing down and pushing the small tab that is in the center of the bottom part of the FWT. Op en the SIM Card holder and insert th e SIM Card. 3. Close the SIM Card holder, pla cing it hori zontally and se curing it with the slid ing part of the holder.
Fixed Wireless Terminal: G32 & G36 11 Switch on the FWT Connect the pow er supply. The FWT switches on automaticall y and the LED indicators st art flashing. Note: If the Power LED is off, there is a problem with the power supply. Please refer to the to pic Troub leshooting docum ented on page 61 for mor e detailed info rmatio n.

Installing the FWT on the Wall FWT Location The GSM signal strength availab le at the FWT location affects the per- formance of the unit.
14 Fixed Wireless Terminal: G32 & G36 Wall mounting Please proceed as indicated in the follo wing picture. 1. Fix the wall-mounting bracket on the wall. 2. Press the FWT against the wal l-mounting br acket. 3. Slide the FWT do wnwards. Warning: Once you have fixe d the FWT to the wall and switched it on, check the f inal status of the LEDs.
Fixed Wireless Terminal: G32 & G36 15 Now the FWT is ready for con necting devices and making calls. Note: If you want to remove the FWT from the wall bracket , then you have to pre ss the tab (step 1) as indicat ed in the follow ing picture and then slide the FWT upwards (step 2).

Fixed Wireless Terminal: G32 & G36 17 The FWT is als o equipped with a USB port that enables you to use it a s a GSM modem. This enables PC fax and for data transfers as well as SMS services. Note: When ma king the con nections, the two -wire telepho ne cable polarity does not matter .
18 Fixed Wireless Terminal: G32 & G36 communication can take place at a time, in the s ame way as an ordinary fixed line. You cannot, for exa mple, receive or originat e a telephone call while sending or re ceiving a fax .
Fixed Wireless Terminal: G32 & G36 19 • The trunk card mus t support either Busy Ton e Detection ( BTD) or Polarity Reversal Detection on answer and r elease. • The PBX can be programmed to utilize Leas t Cost Routi ng (LCR), if available, to autom atically choos e the trunk where the G36 FWT is connected.
20 Fixed Wireless Terminal: G32 & G36 Routing (LCR) progr ammed PBX. Once LC R is program med, make a call to a mobi le telephone numb er. See if the call is establ ished through the FWT and che ck the speech quality. If the PBX does not offer the LC R op tion, choose the F WT trunk manu - ally with a specif ic prefix.
Fixed Wireless Terminal: G32 & G36 21 destination numb er (B-number ) in order to inform the FWT that the next call is a fax call (Exam ple: *01*B-n umber). Th is is not usually necessar y, as most fa xes automat ically send the CNG tone so that the fax call is made auto matically by the FWT.
22 Fixed Wireless Terminal: G32 & G36 EDGE/GPRS da ta access type allows you to make outgoing connec- tions only, usuall y to connect to the Internet. Yo ur GSM networ k opera - tor provides you with an Internet connection as p art of the E DGE/GPR S service.
Fixed Wireless Terminal: G32 & G36 23 Tip: If you alrea dy have an In ternet con nection configu red for a fixed line, you do not need to make any chang es, just conn ect your PC to the FWT line (RJ11) instead of a fixed line.
24 Fixed Wireless Terminal: G32 & G36 Advanced Feature s If a DTMF telephon e is connected to the FWT , the foll owing features c an be accessed. Changing Volume During a call, you can increase or decrease the reception vol ume level.

Fixed Wireless Terminal: G32 & G36 27 Call waiting service If you wish to be able to receive a second call while another call is in progress, you must turn on the call waiting servi ce. Note: These dialing sequence s may var y depending on your network operator.

Up to 99 telepho ne numbers can be stor ed in each of them. The following table shows how to manag e the phoneboo k with the 9 9 memory positi ons (Pos).

36 Fixed Wireless Terminal: G32 & G36 • Select the option “ Install the software autom atically” and then pro- ceed to the next screen. • If this warning s creen appears, click on “Continue Anyway”.

If your operator requires c ertain Inte rnet account inf ormation wh en you do a dial up, you have to comp lete all the relevant inf ormation on the displ ayed Internet Account Information s creen.
