14 Operating Instructions Changing the Power Levels V ariable power levels add microwave flexibility to microwave cooking. The power level on the microwave oven can be compared to the surface units on a range. High(power level 10)or full power is the fastest way to cook.
T ime Features 15 TIME COOK T ime cook I Allows you to microwave for any time up to 99 minutes and 99 seconds. Power 10 (High) is automatically set, but you may change it for more flexibility . Y ou may open the door during T ime Cook to check the food.

T ime Features 18 TIME DEFROST Allows you to defrost for the length of time you select. See the Defrosting Guide for sug- gested times. Power 3 is automat- ically set, but you may change this for more flexibility . Y ou may defrost small items more quickly by raising the power level after entering the time.
Breads, Cakes Bread , buns or rolls (1 piece) 1 min. Sweet rolls (approx. 12 oz) 3-5 min. Fish and Seafood Filets frozen (1 1b) 6-8 min. Shellfish, small pieces (1 1b) 5-7 min. Place block in casserole. T urn over and break up after half the time. Fruit Plastic pouch –1 to 2 3-6 min.
T ime Features 20 EXPRESS COOK This is a quick way to set time for 1-6 minutes. Press one of the Express Cook pads (from 1 to 6 ) for 1 to 6 minutes of cooking at power level 10. For exam - ple, press the 2 for 2 min- utes of cooking time. The power level can be changed as time is counting down.
Convenience Features 21 BEVERAGE 1. The Beverage feature heats 1 to 3 servings of any beverage. 2. Press BEVERAGE. The serving size is automatically set at 1, but you may change it for more flex- ibility (see table A). 3. Press ST AR T 4. Drinks heated with the beverage feature may be very hot.
22 FISH How to Use the Fish Feature 1. Follow package instruc- tion, using T ime Cook if the package is less than 0.3 pounds or larger than 0.9 pounds. Place the food in the center of the turntable. 2. Press FISH. Program 1 (0.3 pounds) is automatical- ly set, but you may change it for more flexibility (see table A).
23 FRESH VEGET ABLE 1 Follow package instruc- tion, using T ime Cook if the package is less than 6 ounces or larger than 18 ounces. 2 Press FRESH VEG- ET ABLE. Program 1 (6 ounces) is automatically set, but you may change it for more flexibility (see table A).
24 AUTO DEFROST The Defrost Auto/T ime feature gives you two ways to defrost frozen foods. Press DEFROST AUTO/TIME once for Auto Defrost or twice for T ime Defrost. Use Auto Defrost for meat, poul- try and fish. Use T ime Defrost for most other frozen foods.
Other Features 25 Cooking Complete Reminder T o reminder you that you have food in the oven, the oven will display “FOOD IS GOOD” and beep 4 times, then beep once a minute until you either open the door or press STOP CLEAR. CLOCK Press to enter the time of day or to check the time of day while microwaving.
26 Display On/Off T o turn the clock display off, press and hold 0 for about 3 sec- onds. T o redisplay the clock, repeat. Delay Start Delay Start allows you to set the microwave to delay cooking up to 24 hours. 1 Press DELA Y ST AR T . 2 Enter the time you want the oven to start.
27 T imer On/Off T imer operate as a minute timer and can be used at any time, even when the oven is operating. 1 Press TIMER. 2 Enter time you want to cunt down. 3 Press TIMER to start. When time is up, the oven will signal and display “OFF”. T o turn off the timer signal, press TIMER.
28 V ent Fan The vent fan removes steam and other vapors from surface cooking. Press VENT F AN once for low fan speed, twice for high fan speed or a third time to turn the fan off. Surface Light Press to turn the surface light on or off. V ent Fan An automatic fan feature protects microwave from too much heat rising from the cooktop below it.
