8 D-Link DIR-868L User Manual Section 2 - I nstallation 1. T urn o and unplug your DSL or Cable modem. This is requir ed. C onnec t to y our Network Modem 2. Connect an Ethernet cable from the Internet port of the router to the Ethernet por t on y our DSL or Cable modem.
