Chapter 1: Introduction 3 Menu Icons Clicking a menu icon rev eals a list of features and functions you can choose from, and provides instant and direct access to all of your powerful CyberLink programs. Click the menu icon that corresponds to the type of media you want to access or featur es you want to explore .
CyberLink Media Suite 4 Photo The Photo menu c ontains a variety of functions for importing, managing , fixing , and touching up your photos . Features also include the ability t o instantly create dazzling slid esho ws, author photo discs with menus, and share your photos with the world on the Internet.
Chapter 1: Introduction 5 Function Icons Click one of the menu icons to reveal all the available functions and tasks you can per f orm using your C yberLink software. Select any of the functions to open the corresponding softw are progr am and comp lete the specified task, or access the requested feature.

CyberLink Media Suite 8 System R equirements The system requirements listed below are recommended as minimums f or working with the pro grams . Y ou may find that your system, while meeting these recommended minimums, requires expanded capacity for some tasks.

11 Chapter 2: Music The Music function lets you burn audio files to a DVD or CD with CyberLink Po wer2Go. Y ou can also rip music from an audio CD onto y our hard drive. Use CyberLink W aveEditor to edit and add useful effects to your au dio files, or reco rd your ow n custo m aud io .
CyberLink Media Suite 12 Making a Music Disc CyberLin k Po wer2Go makes it easy t o create discs to play back your music . Y ou can create a regular audio CD f or playback on traditional CD pla yers or create a D VD or CD that contains MP 3 or WMA files.
Chapter 2: Music 13 3. Select the audio files you want to burn and then drag them to the destination disc or click the button. 4. When you ha ve added all of the audio that y ou want to burn, click Burn no w . 5. If required, adjust the configurations on the Music ( Au dio CD , MP3 Quality , WMA Quality ), Common or Burner tabs .

Chapter 2: Music 17 Editing Audio Once you have all your audio in the library , you can star t editing it. Editing consists of cropping, trimming , and even adding portions (using the paste functio n) to your audio files. T o edit an audio file , do this: 1.
CyberLink Media Suite 18 1. Use the playback c ontrols or drag the timeline slider to location the position where you want the audio t o reach its loudest/quietest point. 2. Click on the line in the master volume area and drag the volume key to desired volume level.

23 Chapter 3: Movie Player CyberLink Media Suite pro vides access to C yberLink Pow erDVD , a soft war e disc player with all the featur es and controls of a normal living room disc play er . It offers f eature-rich navigation controls for an interactive and tailored viewing experience .
CyberLink Media Suite 24 CDs, C yberLink PowerD VD provides you w i th the complete digi tal media playback experien ce. Supported Media T ypes and Formats The optical discs and file formats that C yberLink PowerDVD supports are listed below: Note: * available in CyberLink Media Suite Ultra only.
Chapter 3: Movie Play er 25 Auto-resume If you stop or close CyberLink P owerDVD during disc playback, even play other files or discs immediately afterwards, the next time you play that specific disc title , you may resume from the last viewed scene. The auto-resume feature remembers exactly where y ou left off the last time you watched the disc.
CyberLink Media Suite 26 T rueTheater Effects W indow Click the but ton to display the T rueTheater Effects window . Note: True Theater effects are disabled during the playback of Blu-ray Disc titles. T rueTheater eff ects are also disabled whe n hardware acceleration is enabled.
Chapter 3: Movie Play er 27 Playing Movie Files CyberLink P owerDVD not only lets you play back your disc titles , but also your movie files as well. T o play back your movie files, do this 1. Select the Pla y a Movie F ile function in the Movie Pla yer menu of CyberLink Po werStar t er .

CyberLink Media Suite 30 Settings The settings window lets you c onfigure CyberLink P owerDVD to suit your specific playback requirements.Y ou can access the settings windo w at any time by clicking the button on the playback controls or pressing Ctrl+C on your keyboard.
31 Chapter 4: Data CyberLink Media Suite off ers a number of burning functions, including the creation of data discs with C yberLink P ower2Go . Y ou can burn data to a Blu-ray Disc , DVD or CD , and also format a disc for use with CyberLink InstantBurn.
CyberLink Media Suite 32 Making a Data Disc T o burn a data disc, do this: 1. Se lec t t he t ype of da ta d isc you w ant t o cr eate and the forma t of the disc in t he Data menu of C yberLink PowerStarter program window . The Data Disc window o pens.

35 Chapter 5: Photo The photo func tions in CyberLink Media Suite let you organize, enhance and share all of your photos using CyberLink MediaShow. Y ou can turn your photos into dazzling sl ideshows, print them out in a variety of formats, cr eate slideshow DVDs, and much more .
CyberLink Media Suite 36 Importing Photos If there are som e photos on your hard dr iv e, on a disc , or a removable device, y ou can easily import them into CyberLink MediaShow . T o impor t photos , including Pow erPoint slides, into C yberLink M ediaShow , do this: 1.
Chapter 5: Photo 37 1. Select the Manage Photos function within the Photo menu of C yberLink Po werStater . The CyberLink MediaShow main window displays. Using the Library When you impor t your photos into CyberLink MediaShow , t hey are automatically categorized int o a series of folders for ea sy browsing within the library .
CyberLink Media Suite 38 Folders When your media is imported into C yberLink MediaShow , it is automatically organized b y year and the corresponding fo lders on your computer’ s hard drive in the folders section of the library. Note: media located on removab le drives and opti cal discs are not displa yed in the folder list.
Chapter 5: Photo 39 2. Select which photos you want to tag faces in. Y ou can select all of the photos in the library , or a specific gr oup of photos , such as in a folder or those held on the tray .
CyberLink Media Suite 40 Manually T agging Faces If CyberLink MediaShow missed faces during the auto scanning process , you can manually tag faces in your photos. T o manually tag faces, do this: 1. Select an album, folder , search tag, or selec t and hold all of the photos on the tray .

Making Photo Fix es CyberL ink MediaShow pro vides you with sev eral common fix es for yo ur photos, including a utomatic fix es, fix ing red-ey e and a photo cropping f eature. Click on the Edit button and then on the tab to perform the following fixes on your photos.
CyberLink Media Suite 42 • Vignette : using the slider closes/opens a black circle on your photo, like in old silent movies. • Soft Focus : adds a soft focus effec t to your photo . Use the Siz e slider to adjust the focus area and the Soft slider t o adjust the amount of blur .
Chapter 5: Photo 43 3. Click the Next button. The slideshow begins to play automatically . 4. Use the following buttons t o control the playback of your slideshow: Button Fu nc t io n Stops the slideshow and retu rns to the main window . When viewing a slideshow , click this button to select the desired slideshow style.
CyberLink Media Suite 44 Creating Slideshows CyberL ink MediaShow lets y ou create an d cust omize a slideshow that includes both your photos and videos. Y ou can selec t from a number of styles, and then add background music, text and color boards. T o create and customize a slide sho w , do this: 1.

For videos in the slideshow , us e the slider to adjust the lev el of the background music and the video ’ s audio when the video is display ed.
Chapter 5: Photo 47 Selecting a Style CyberLink MediaShow provides y ou with the option of selec ting from a number of stylish, pre-designed disc menus. These menus are already cust omized for y ou and may include such features as motion and menu music.
CyberLink Media Suite 48 Printing Photos With CyberLink MediaShow you can print ou t your photos on your printer in a var iet y of si zes. T o print out your photos, do this: 1. Select the P rint Photo function within the Photo menu of C yberLink Po werStarter .

CyberLink Media Suite 52 Importing Videos If there are som e videos on your hard dr ive, re movabl e dev ice, or camc orde r , yo u can easily import them into CyberLink MediaShow . Importing Video Files T o import vid eo files into CyberLink MediaShow , do this: 1.
Chapter 6: Video 53 Note: these steps outline how to capture and import video from camcorders connected with an IEEE (firewire) cable. If your camcorde r connects to y our computer via USB , you can impor t the video files directly by se lecting Import Media and then select ing y our camcorder from t he list of attached dev ices.

Chapter 6: Video 59 Fixing and Enhancing Videos CyberL ink MediaShow off ers sev eral editing features , including trimming unwanted por tions from video clips, or pe r f orming various touch ups on videos in preparation for editing, uploading, etc .
CyberLink Media Suite 60 • Reduce video noise : select to reduce any video white noise or remove block y artifac ts from a video clip . • Reduce audio noise : use this option to filter out background noise from the audio track. Drag the slider to remove more or less noise.

CyberLink Media Suite 70 Copying a Data Disc The Copy Disc option allo ws you to make an exact copy of a disc of an y format. However , you must copy the disc contents onto a blank disc of the same disc type. ( Y ou cannot , for example , copy content from a CD onto a DVD .
Chapter 7: Cop y & Backup 71 Copying a Movie D VD CyberLink P owerDVD Copy is a specialized tool for copying DVD mo vies from disc or hard driv e onto a back-up DVD . Y ou ca n likewise create a DV D folder on your hard drive, or burn it to a DVD as a movie.
CyberLink Media Suite 72 Backing Up and R estoring Y our PC Backing up data is an important security pro c edure that can save large amounts of time and money in case of disaster , disk fail ure, attack by a hacker or virus, etc.
