Cooling F an: A gentle flow of air will be blown below the c ontrol panel when any control is used . Note: Whenever the appliance has been used , the cooling fan may continue to run or restart itself after all the controls hav e b een turned off . This indicates that the appliance is still warm.

ELECTRONIC CL OCK & A UT OMA TIC OVEN TIMER OPERA TION 11 SETTING THE TIME OF DA Y Step 1 Make sure all oven controls ar e turned Off. Step 2 Check the electricity supply to the cooker is turned on. Step 3 When switched on the display will show 0.

When cooking Automatically the Cook P eriod can be checked at an y time simply by pr essing the Cook Period button. 2. When cooking Automatically the End Time can be checked at any t ime by simply pr essing the End Time button.
The grill pan handle is detachable from the pan, to facilitate cleaning and st orage. The grill pan handle can be fixed as f ollows: Step 1 Remove screw & washers from the grill pan bracket. Step 2 Tilt the handle over the recess (A). Step 3 Slide it towards the centre of the pan (B).

B GRILL CONTROL Step 1 Remove the heat shield from the rear of an ov en shelf and place the shelf in the top position. Step 2 Push in and turn the contr ol knob anti - clock wise to the large flame symbol.
The oven has diff erent heat zones - the t emperature contr ol settings refer to the temperature on the middle shelf; above this shelf it is hotter and below it is c ooler . SHELF POSITIONING The oven shelv es hav e a heat shield fitted at the rear . The shi eld can be removed for cleaning and grilling, but should be replac ed when using the oven.
USING THE O VEN C OLD ST ART C OOKING Anything requiring long slow c ooking such as casseroles and rich fruit cakes can be put into a cold ov en. Satisfactor y results can also be obtained with creame.
USING THE O VEN The ‘Slow Cook’ setting on the main oven thermostat is used f or slow cooking, keeping food warm and warming plates for short periods. USING THE ‘SL OW COOK’ SETTING 1. All dishes cooked by the ‘Slow Cook’ setting should be cooked for a minimum 6 hours.
MAIN O VEN C OOKING CHART The following times and setting ar e for guidance only . Y ou ma y wish to alter the setting to give a result more to your sa tisfaction. When a different setting to that shown belo w is given in a recipe, the r ecipe instructions should be followed .
MAIN O VEN C OOKING CHART When baking with two trays or tins on two levels , the top tra y is removed first and the low er tray moved up to the t op position for a few minutes longer . Soft Margarine – Use the oven settings recommended by the mar garine manufacturer and not those indicated on the cooking chart.
1. “CREDA CLEAN” O VEN LINERS ( a) How "Credaclean" w orks. The surfaces of the "Credaclean" oven liners are treated with a special vitreous enamel which absorbs cooking soils. At temperatures of mark 7 or abo ve , the special sur face enables these soils to be slowly destroyed .
3. C ONTROL P ANEL / TRIMS / INNER DOOR P ANEL & GLASS ( a) Contr ol Panel Regularly wipe with a clean, damp cloth and polish with a clean, dry cloth. (b) T rims It is advisable to clean the trims regularly to prevent any build up of soiling which may detract from the appearance of the cooker .
CARE AND CLEANING 24 Take particular care not to damage the inner sur face of the door inner glass that is coated with a hea t reflective la yer . Do not use scouring pads, or abr asive po w- der , which will scratch the glass. Ensur e that the glass panel is not subjected to any sharp mechanical blow s.
INST ALLA TION INSTRUCTIONS 25 Prior to installation, ensur e that the local distribution conditions (nature of the gas and gas pressure) and the adjustment conditions are c ompatible. The adjustment c onditions for this appliance are stated on the data badge which is fitt ed behind the bottom of the main oven door seal.

C ONNECTING T O GAS SUPPL Y The oven is designed t o be connected with an approved applianc e flexible connection to BS 669. A length of 0.9 to 1.25m is recommended . An adaptor backplate should be fitted in the area shown to allo w the appliance to be pushed fully back into the cabinet.
Connection to the electricity supply should be made via a properly ear thed, readily accessible w all socket which is adjacent to , and not more than 1.25m awa y from the appliance and capable of electrical isolation. The mains lead should be routed such that it cannot touch hot parts of the appliance i.
