A gentle flow of air will be blown below the c ontrol panel when the oven or grill is switched on. In some instances this will continue after switching the oven / grill off . This is not unusual. This helps to keep the control panel and knobs cool. The oven ligh t is switched on automatically when the fan oven c ontrol (A) is operated .
O VEN TIMER OPERA TION A UTOMA TIC COOKING The Oven can be controlled by the A utomatic Timer . HINTS ON A UTOMA TIC C OOKING 1. Select foods which will require the same cooking time and tem perature. 2. T o ensure food does not cool down and require r eheating, set the end time so the food is ready when you r equire it.

ELECTRONIC CL OCK & A UT OMA TIC OVEN TIMER OPERA TION 11 SETTING THE TIME OF DA Y Step 1 Make sure all oven controls ar e turned Off. Step 2 Check the electricity supply to the cooker is turned on. Step 3 When switched on the display will show 0.
ELECTRONIC CL OCK & A UT OMA TIC OVEN TIMER OPERA TION 12 Step 3 Press and hold in the C ook Period button. The display will read 0.00 with the cookpot ( ) symbol lit . Step 4 With the Cook P eriod button still held in, set the required Coo k P eriod using the “+” and “–” buttons.

When cooking Automatically the Cook P eriod can be check ed at an y time simply by pressing the C ook Period button. 2. When cooking Automatically the End Time can be checked at any t ime by simply pr essing the End Time button.
The grill pan handle is detachable from the pan, to facilitate cleaning and st orage. The grill pan handle can be fixed as f ollows: Step 1 Remove screw & washers from the grill pan bracket (a). Step 2 Tilt the handle over the recess (b). Step 3 Slide it towards the centre of the pan (c).
GRILLING PROCEDURE 16 Note: DO NO T allow young children near t o the appliance when the grill is in use as the surfaces get extremely hot. Step 1 Ensure oven timer is set t o manual. Ensure the oven shelf is in the c orrect position (see Guide to Grilling Successfully).

Since a circulaire fan ov en heats up more quickly , and generall y cooks food at a lower temperature than a con ventional oven, pre-heating is often unnecessary . For guides on “pr e- heating” , “ cooking temperatures” and “ cooking times” , see “Oven T emperature Char ts” later in book.
F AN OVEN OPERA TION Step 1 Ensure oven timer is set t o manual. Ensure that the ov en shelf is in the correct position. Place food c entrally on the shelf ensuring the oven door is ful ly closed . Step 2 T ur n knob (A) clock wise and select the required cooking temperature .
“SL OW” SET TING This is used for slow c ooking, keeping food warm and warming plates for short periods. Extra care should be taken when warming bone china, as it may be damaged in a hot oven. ADV ANT AGES OF SL OW COOKING ARE: The oven sta ys cleaner because there is less splashing .

C OOKING RESUL TS NO T SA TISF A CT ORY GRILL Unev en cooking front to back Ensure that the grill pan is positioned centrally below the grill element. F at splattering Ensure that the grill pan is not lined with foil. Ensure that the grill setting is not too high.
1. “CREDA CLEAN” OVEN LINERS ( a) How "Credaclean" w orks. The surfaces of the "Credaclean" oven liners are treated with a special vitreous enamel which absorbs cooking soils. At temperatures of 220˚C (425˚F) or abo ve , the special sur face enables these soils to be slowly destroyed .
2. CLEANING THE OVEN (a) Base of Main Oven. Wipe out the oven with a damp soapy cloth. F or more stubborn stains on the base of the oven use a well soaped fine steel wool soap pad .
3. C ONTROL P ANEL / TRIMS / INNER DOOR P ANEL & GL ASS ( a) Contr ol Panel Regularly wipe with a clean, damp cloth and polish with a clean, dry cloth. (b) T rims It is advisable to clean the trims regularly to prevent any build up of soiling which may detract from the appearance of the cooker .
28 CARE AND CLEANING Take particular care not to damage the inner sur face of the door inner glass that is coated with a hea t reflective la yer . Do not use scouring pads, or abrasiv e p ow- der , which will scratch the glass. Ensure tha t the glass panel is not subjected to any sharp mechanical blow s.
