Elec tronic Clock and A utomatic Ov en Timer Oper ation 11 SET TING THE TIME OF DA Y Step 1 Make sure all o ven controls ar e turned O ff . Step 2 C heck the electricit y supply to the cooker is turned on. Step 3 W hen switched on the display will show 0.

When cooking Automatically the C ook Period can be checked at an y time simply by pressing the Cook P eriod button. 2. When cooking Automatically the End Time can be checked at any t ime b y simply pressing the End Time button.
The grill pan handle is detachable from the pan, to facilitat e cleaning and storage . The grill pan handle can be fixed as f ollows: Step 1 Remov e the screw and washers from the grill pan bracket (a). Step 2 Tilt the handle ov er the recess (b). Step 3 Slide it tow ards the centre of the pan (c).
Y our cooker is not fitted with a conv entional grill. Creda ha ve developed a high speed grill which is designed to reduce y our grilling times. It is qu ick er because it takes less time to warm up from cold .
Step 1 Ensure that the timer is set to manual. Step 2 Place the grill pan rod shelf in the correct position (see Gril l Chart). Locat e the grill pan on the rod shelf , position centrally unde r the grill element.

The top o ven should be used to cook small quantities of f ood . T he ov en is designed so that the grill element operates a t a reduced heat output, this is c ombined with a heating element situated underneath the floor of the o ven.
Step 1 Ensur e that the timer is set to manual. Step 2 P lace the shelf in the correct position (see Oven T emperature C harts). Step 3 Select the required cooking temperature (100–220 o C) using c ontrol (B) (see T op O ven T emperature Charts).

F an Only Setting Defrosting froz en meat and poultry Joints of meat and whole birds should be defrost ed slowly , prefer ably in a refrigerator (allowing 5-6 hours per lb .) or at room temperature (allowing 2-3 hours per lb .). F roz en meat or poultr y must be complet ely defrosted befor e cooking in the oven.
“SL OW” Setting This is used for slo w cooking, keeping food warm and warming plat es for short periods. Extra care should be taken when warming bone china, as it may be damaged in a hot oven. Adv antages of “SL OW” cooking are: The ov en stays cleaner because there is less splashing .

1. “CREDA CLEAN” OVEN LINERS ( a) How "Cr edaclean" works . The sur faces of the "Cr edaclean" oven liners ar e treated with a special vitreous enamel which absorbs cooking soils. At temper atures of 220° C (425°F) or above , the special sur face enables these soils to be slowly destro yed .

Car e and Cleaning 31 T ake par ticular care not to damage the inner surface of the door inner glass that is coa ted with a heat reflective la yer . Do not use scouring pads , or abra siv e powder , which will scrat ch the glass. Ensure that the glass panel is not subjected to an y sharp mechanical blows .
Elec trical Requirements F or your own saf ety , we recommend that y our cooker is installed by a competen t person such as one who is registered with NICEIC (Na tional Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting). The cooker should be inst alled in accordance with the latest edition of the IEE Regulations.
Impor tant It is essential that the lower cupboard is constructed in the manner illustra ted i.e. having side , back, and roof panels so joined as to pro vide no aper tures which c ould permit access to the ov en unit when installed.
