Driving and operating 139 A brief vibration in the steering wheel after engaging reverse gear indicates that the steering is controlled by the system. Then the vehicle is steered into the slot automatically by giving the driver detailed instructions for braking, accelerating and gear shifting.
140 Driving and operating If the system is equipped with Colour- Info-Display, select the type of parking slot by tapping the display icon 6 or 7 . The display shows the type of parking slot. Changing the parking side The system is configured to detect parking slots by default on the passenger side.
Driving and operating 141 ■ exceeding number of maximum gear changes: 8 parking cycles when parallel parking or 5 cycles when perpendicular parking, ■ switching off the ignition. Deactivation by the driver or by the system during manoeuvring will be indicated by Parking Deactivated in the Driver Information Centre or Colour-Info-Display.
142 Driving and operating correct distance indication in the upper part of these vehicles cannot be guaranteed. Vehicle care 153 Different dipsticks are used depending on engine variant. When the engine oil level has dropped to the MIN mark, top up engine oil. We recommend the use of the same grade of engine oil that was used at last change. The engine oil level must not exceed the MAX mark on the dipstick.
154 Vehicle care If the cooling system is cold, the coolant level should be above the filling line mark. Top up if the level is low. 9 Warning Allow the engine to cool before opening the cap. Carefully open the cap, relieving the pressure slowly. To top up use a 1:1 mixture of released coolant concentrate mixed with clean tap water.
Vehicle care 155 The brake fluid level must be between the MIN and MAX marks. When topping up, ensure maximum cleanliness as contamination of the brake fluid can lead to brake system malfunctions. Have the cause of the loss of brake fluid remedied by a workshop.
156 Vehicle care In vehicles with stop-start system, be sure to have the AGM (Absorptive Glass Mat) battery replaced with another AGM battery An AGM battery can be identified by the label on the battery. We recommend the use of an original Opel battery.

Vehicle care 173 If the tyre pressure must be reduced or increased on a vehicle with tyre pressure monitoring system, switch off ignition. After adjusting tyre pressure switch on ignition and select the relevant setting on the page Tyre load in the Driver Information Centre, 3 87.
174 Vehicle care A detected low tyre pressure condition is indicated by the control indicator w 3 85. If w illuminates, stop as soon as possible and inflate the tyres as recommended 3 207. After inflating, driving may be required to update the tyre pressure values in the Driver Information Centre.
Vehicle care 175 Select: ■ Light for comfort pressure up to 3 people ■ Eco for Eco pressure up to 3 people ■ Max for full loading Auto learn function After changing wheels the vehicle must be stationary for approx. 20 minutes, before the system recalculates.
176 Vehicle care Changing tyre and wheel size If tyres of a different size than those fitted at the factory are used, it may be necessary to reprogramme the speedometer as well as the nominal tyre pressure and make other vehicle modifications. After converting to a different tyre size, have the label with tyre pressures replaced.
Vehicle care 177 Tyre damage exceeding 4 mm or that is at tyre's sidewall cannot be repaired with the tyre repair kit. 9 Warning Do not drive faster than 80 km/h. Do not use for a lengthy period. Steering and handling may be affected. If you have a flat tyre: Apply the parking brake and engage first gear.

190 Vehicle care Caution Drive slowly. Do not drive jerkily. Excessive tractive force can damage the vehicle. When the engine is not running, considerably more force is needed to brake and steer. To prevent the entry of exhaust gases from the towing vehicle, switch on the air recirculation and close the windows.
Vehicle care 191 Caution Drive slowly. Do not drive jerkily. Excessive tractive force can damage the vehicle. After towing, unscrew the towing eye. Insert cap and engage in the bumper. Appearance care Exterior care Locks The locks are lubricated at the factory using a high quality lock cylinder grease.
192 Vehicle care On vehicles with emblem touchpad: when cleaning with a high-pressure jet cleaner ensure a minimum distance of 30 cm when working around the tailgate to prevent unintended unlocking. Thoroughly rinse and leather-off the vehicle. Rinse leather frequently.
Vehicle care 193 After the underbody is washed, check the underbody and have it waxed if necessary. Bitumen/rubber materials could damage the PVC coating. Have underbody work carried out by a workshop. Before and after winter, wash the underbody and have the protective wax coating checked.
