PICTURE SEARCH If you want to skip or repeat a scene during playback, press the F .FWD or the REW button. ¡ Press it again and the DVD/VCR will now search at super high speed. (in the LP/SLP modes only). INDEX SEARCH The index signal is recorded on the tape automatically when the recording is started.
– 20 – EN 1L25 RECORDING FUNCTION It may be UNLA WFUL to record copyrighted materi- al without the consent of the copyright owner . Accidental Erasure Pr evention T o prevent accidental recording on a recorded cassette, remove its record safety tab.
– 21 – EN 1L25 HINTS FOR TIMER RECORDING ¡ If there is a power failure or the DVD/VCR is unplugged for more than 30 seconds, the clock set- ting and all timer settings will be lost. ¡ If a tape ends during TIMER RECORDING, the VCR will stop, eject the tape, and switch to the DVD mode automatically as the TIMER SET light blinks.

– 23 – EN 1L25 PLA YING A DVD VIDEO, A VIDEO CD, OR AN AUDIO CD Getting started T urn on the power of the TV , amplifier and any other components which are connected to the DVD/VCR. (Change the input system to suite the DVD/VCR, and check that the sound volume is correct).
1 Press the ST OP button during pla yback. ¡ Playback will stop, and then appear the resuming message at the center . 2 Press the PLA Y button. Playback will start from the point where the pre vious playbac k session was stopped. Note ¡ The resume function can be reset by pressing the STOP button twice or by opening the disc loading tray .
1 Press the FWD g or the REV h button during playbac k. ¡ For DVDs, pressing the FWD g or REV h but- ton cycles the playback speed in the following steps: × 2, × 8, × 30, × 60 (VCDs: × 2, × 8, × 30). In the case of DVDs and VCDs, the sound will mute.
